Keating was born in Boulder, Colorado on September 9, 1952. His family heritage on the Mississippi Gulf Coast dates back to the mid 1920's. Within the Mississippi Bar, Hugh has served as Chairman, Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee and member, Fee Dispute Resolution Committee. He currently serves on the Board of Bar Commissioners, 2nd District, and is a member of the Executive Committee for the Mississippi Bar. In addition to his activities as an attorney, Hugh earned the prestigious SR/WA designation awarded by the International Right of Way Association, a multi-disciplinary professional association comprised of engineers, attorneys, appraisers, surveyors, relocation assistance consultants and other professionals. In 2005, Hugh was honored and inducted as a Fellow in the Mississippi Bar Foundation. Hugh has been recognized by Outstanding Lawyers of America, Who's Who Worldwide of Global Business Leaders, Coast Business Journal, South Mississippi Business Leaders Under 40, and Outstanding Young Men of America for contributions to his community and profession.
